AI at the Edge

In this episode of Post Human Law, we are joined by Dr Dylan Muir, Mark Micire, Stirling & Rose Managing Partner Natasha Blycha in a discussion about AI at the Edge.

Dylan is the CEO of LexChip. After studying Computer Science and Electronic Engineering in Australia, he moved to Zürich for a PhD in computational neuroscience. He spent several years reverse-engineering the brain in research labs, and then moved to the Swiss embedded AI startup SynSense, to found their machine learning applications team. Dylan has published extensively in academic journals, and co-wrote the EU charter for responsible development of neuro technologies. He has also led panels on the ethics of autonomous AI systems.

Mark Micire is a robotics and space systems engineer with experience across space, defence, and heavy industry. At NASA Ames, he led the Intelligent Robotics Group, including work on robotic free-flyers aboard the International Space Station. He later served as a program manager at DARPA, advancing AI-enabled autonomy for drones and other robotic systems. In industry, Mark was Head of Technology Development at Woodside Energy, bringing advanced robotics and automation into large-scale energy operations. He now serves as Space Systems Principal Engineer at Fugro’s SpAARC facility in Australia, helping lead new approaches to remotely operated maritime and space assets. With a PhD in Computer Science focused on human–robot interfaces and earlier field experience as a firefighter and FEMA search specialist, he blends technical skills with practical, real-world leadership.

Natasha is one of the world’s pre-eminent Smart Legal Contract experts. She is recognised in Chambers as a global fintech expert with technical product design experience and deep legal understanding as a co-author of the seminal 2022 Oxford text on Smart Legal Contracts and Springer Digital Asset text. She is is the founder of Chambers ranked national tech law firm Stirling & Rose and previously former Global Head of Digital Law at a major international law firm, Natasha advises on Smart Legal Contracts, Autonomous Organisations, and digital assets and has been awarded the Financial Times Most Innovative Lawyer and Thought Leader of the Year.
